/Day of Change: Towards the sustainable behaviours that really matter
Changes in consumption patterns and mainstream lifestyles are a critical and integral part of the solutions package to addressing climate change, especially if we are to deliver on the 1.5°C target. In this transition towards a more sustainable society, understanding how humans actually think and behave is crucial. In other words, sustainability is a behavioural challenge and it is about time for us to develop behaviourally-informed solutions. It consists of a game-changing approach to understand and act upon the real motivations of the way we live and behave.
What are the behaviour and lifestyle changes needed? How to drive behaviourally-informed interventions, policies and innovations in practice? What successful evidence does already exist?
On the Day of Change, 1 July 2019 in Brussels, the Academy of Change invites you to address these questions together with leading NGOs, policy makers, business and experts. The interactive sessions will combine the latest findings of the 1.5-Degree Lifestyles Report presented by Sitra and partners, with the Academy practical insights and real-world results on how to make sustainable behaviour change happen in practice. Click here for more details about the latest agenda. Registration is free of charge but places are limited.
NGOs that would need travel cost support to attend the day can request it through the registration link. Priority will be given to those taking up more sustainable ways to travel to the event, on a “first come, first served” basis.” If you are far away from Brussels, please note, that there will also be the chance to follow parts of the event online.
